Dr. Jason Cong, co-founder of Falcon Computing Solutions, UCLA Chancellor’s Professor and Director of the Center for Customizable Domain-Specific Computing chaired the session on Heterogeneous Computing in Data Centers for Energy Efficiency at the recent ISLPED Conference in San Francisco, August 8th-10th, 2016

Speakers included Ouyang Jian of Baidu, Derek Chiou of Microsoft, Peichen Pan from Falcon and Herman Schmit from Intel/Altera

Dr. Peichen Pan from Falcon Computing Solutions presented an integrated solution that includes automated C/C++ compilation for accelerator generation, runtime accelerator resource scheduling and management, and acceleration libraries for big data applications. The solution can help overcome some of the main challenges with FPGA-based accelerated computing.
